Get prepared for a major update!!!...


Apologies it's been a while since last posting an update - I've been getting over a nasty cold and had a lot of work over the past few weeks, but have finally resumed working on Project: Rynth! In preparation for the imminent arrival of the new version of the game within the next few weeks, here's a list of features that will be added/updated in the new demo;

  • Improved and cleaner sound effects - no more clanky-sounding footsteps!
  • New ghost visuals - every ghost is now more detailed in appearance and has a unique look from the other ghosts.
  • Ghost movement animations - the ghosts will now walk around when visible.
  • Improved ghost AI - although the improvements are fairly minor, they should make the ghosts more challenging to evade!
  • New sensor floor types - whereas before there were only basic and battery sensor floors, there are new blinding, refuge, revealing and trap sensor floors that add new elements to the gameplay.
  • Improved focus ability - this has been improved to enhance the feeling of shutting out the world and being able to pick up audio cues.
  • Revised level geometry - this has been reworked to improve the overall look and support the new features of the game.
  • New HUD - the new HUD supports the new features of the game, and also improves feedback to the player.
  • Pause screen - for when your nerves are shot and you want to take a breather!
  • Instruction screens - these will be accessed from the menu, and will provide more information on how to play the game.
  • Loading screen - this improves feedback to the player when loading a level.
